Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal inspected on Sunday 16 February 2020 the ongoing renovations in Tahrir square after installing parts of the obelisk. The governor also directed to promptly finish the painting of the building’s facades in the square and upgrade roads to be fully prepared for the transfer of the royal mummies.
