Cairo Governor inspects polling stations during run-off parliamentary elections

Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal inspected Monday several polling stations across Cairo to follow up the voting process during the first day of the run-off parliamentary elections.

The governor assured the regularity of the voting at all polling stations across Cairo since 9 am, pointing out that Cairo's Central Operation Room has not received any complaints.

Moreover, Abdel Aal urged citizens to exercise their constitutional right to participate in the elections and to vote for their candidate freely.

During his tour, the governor also checked on the implementation of all preventive and precautionary measures to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus, including social distancing, the use of hand sanitizers, and wearing face masks.

At the end of his tour, the governor inspected the surrounding area of the polling stations to make sure that there are no abandoned vehicles, trash cans, street occupancies, or any street garbage.
