Cairo Governor Major- General Khaled Abdel Aal inspected on Sunday several polling stations across Cairo to check on its readiness to receive the voters during the upcoming senate elections.
The governor emphasized that all the precautionary and preventive measures against the novel coronavirus would be taken during the upcoming elections, including social distancing between voters, mandatory face masks while casting votes, and ensuring the availability of disinfectants. He also asserted that sub-stations chosen to be near the main entrance of the polling stations and in the ground floors.
Moreover, the governor called on citizens to positively take part in the upcoming senate elections and to freely exercise their political rights to show the world a positive and honorable image of the Egyptian society.
