Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal inspected on Monday the demolition work carried out by the executive bodies of Cairo governorate at Establ Antar area in Masr Al-Qadima district.
During his tour, the governor said that the Establ Antar area is one of the unsafe informal settlements that the governorate is working on eliminating by the end of 2020. He also noted that the authorities removed a total of 262 buildings, and the affected families would be given fully-furnished residential units in Al-Asmarat area following President Sisi's instructions to provide the residents with a decent life.
Abdel Aal added that the state relocated around 120 thousand citizens used to live in informal settlements to Cairo's new urban cities like Asmarat 1&2&3, Ahalina 1, and Rawdet El-Sayeda Zeinab.
