Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal inspected Tuesday the ongoing development work in the Pottery Village located in the Al-Fustat area in Misr Al-Qadima district ahead of its upcoming inauguration.
Abdel Aal asserted that the restoration of the village is part of the state's strategy to support and promote traditional handicrafts, adding that Al-Fustat Pottery Village would be part of the pottery promotion programs locally and globally and Cairo's attractions.
Moreover, Abdel Aal said that the restoration includes utility connections, installing eco-friendly gas kilns, upgrading street lights, landscape installation, and painting facades.
Abdel Aal also ordered to study the establishment of a service area and restaurants in the village located near the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization to serve tourists and visitors
