Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal accompanied by the Commander of the Military Region Khaled Shawky and Assistant Minister Director of Cairo Security laid a wreath at the martyr tombs of the Military Region in El-Khafier area, marking "Martyr Day" celebrated by the state on March 9th .
Abdel Aal praised the great role of the Egyptian army and police and the sacrifices they made for their country's safety and security.
Each year on March 9th, the Egyptian Armed Forces celebrates "Martyr Day" in commemoration of Egypt's former Chief of Staff Abdel Moneim Riad.
