Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal, officials of Sonaa El-Khair Foundation and Emirates NBD Bank, inaugurated a hotel building and goalball stadium at the Model Center for the blind Care and Guide (Qasr El-Nour) in Gesr El-Suez, Ain Shams area after its renovation. The inauguration ceremony was also attended by Dr. Ayman Abdel Mawgoud, Assistant Minister of Social Solidarity, several public figures, and Iqbal El-Samalouty, Chairman of the center.
Abdel Aal confirmed that the inauguration is part of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's interest in supporting people with disabilities in Egypt and his keenness on meeting their needs.
During the ceremony, Abdel Aal inspected the center's buildings and visited an exhibition displaying artworks of visually disabled people at the center in the field of decorations and furniture.
The renovations are part of a protocol signed between Sonaa El-Khair Foundation and Emirates NBD Bank in Egypt for renewing and refurbishing the dormitory. It also aims to provide all basic needs for the visually and mentally disabled children to improve their lives and help them practice cultural and educational activities to qualify them professionally.
