Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal inspected Sunday the removal of construction debris in the Basatin district, pointing out that it is part of the state’s effort to improve the quality of living conditions of citizens across Cairo and to protect the environment.
On the other hand, the residents of the area expressed their happiness at the disposal of construction waste, asserting that the development work implemented by the state is not limited to new districts but extends to each part of the capital.
Moreover, the governor said that Cairo’s Cleaning and Beautification Authority began to remove all construction and demolition debris across Cairo, noting that the trucks used to remove the waste are part of the authority’s fleet that has been recently repaired.
For his part, the Head of the Cleaning and Beautification Authority, Ehab El-Shershaby, asserted that the trucks removing the debris would not hinder the plan of deploying central rescue trucks to perform their periodic tasks across the capital’s streets.
The governor also praised the efforts of the authority’s workers, asserting their contribution to restoring the capital’s glory.
