Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal made an inspection tour on Saturday the Corniche El-Nil area in Rod El-Farag district and districts of Cairo’s north area accompanied by Deputy Cairo Governor, Chairman of Cairo’s Holding Company for Water and Waste Water, and the Head of Cairo Cleaning Authority.
During his tour, Abdel Aal followed up the procedures taken by Cairo districts, the Holding Company for Water and Waste Water, and Cairo Cleaning Authority to deal with accumulated rainwater, pointing out that vacuum trucks were dispatched to remove rainwater from streets across Cairo.
Abdel Aal further said that a plan was made in coordination with the General Department of Cairo Traffic to make necessary traffic diversions to ease traffic congestion.
Abdel Aal urged all executives of the Cairo governorate to respond quickly to citizens’ complaints about accumulated rainwater and remove it instantly.
