Cairo Governor inspects development work of Hikestep area

Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal inspected Thursday the ongoing demolition of the Ezbet El-Ikhlas neighborhood, one of Cairo’s unplanned areas, in the Hikestep area, Nozha district. The demolition work will include demolishing 212 buildings after paying necessary compensations for the eligible families.  

 

The governor was accompanied by Deputy Cairo Governor Ibrahim Saber, Assistant Secretary-General Ibrahim Awad, Chief of the Nozha district Yehia El-Adgham, and several executives of the Cairo governorate.  

 

During his tour, the governor asserted that Cairo is currently witnessing an unprecedented leap in eradicating informal settlements following the directives of Egypt’s political leadership in addition to changing the lives of citizens for the better through the implementation of several alternative housing projects such as the Asmarat, Al-Mahrousa, Ahalina, Rawdet El-Sayeda housing projects.
