Within the framework of the state’s effort to upgrade street cleanliness in the capital, Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal inspected Tuesday 20 new street vacuum cleaners that will be part of the Cairo Cleaning and Beautification Authority’s fleet.
Abdel Aal asserted that the Cairo Cleaning Authority continuously seeks to upgrade its fleet to keep the city’s streets clean to preserve its aesthetic appearance and ensure the safety and health of citizens.
Moreover, Abdel Aal lauded the role of the authority’s workers, who perform their work with honesty, loyalty, and dedication all the time and under any circumstances. He also noted that the work of street cleaners contributes to preserving Cairo’s historical and civilized image.
For his part, Ihab El-Shershaby, the Head of the Cairo Cleaning and Beautification Authority, said that the new vacuum cleaners would be deployed in Cairo’s south and north areas. He also added that the drivers were trained in the new machines’ operation and maintenance procedures and instructions.
El-Shershaby assured that the new vacuum cleaners are no different from those used in developed countries and that the authority would add more cleaners in the two areas.
