Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal inaugurated Tuesday the new kindergarten building at Al-Moataz Elementary School, developed by Takatof Association for Development with the support of the Australian Aid Program, in Madinet Al-Amal (prev. Ezbet Al-Haggana informal settlement) affiliated to Sharq Nasr City Education Department.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Australian Ambassador to Egypt; Glenn Miles, Chairman of the Takatof Association for Development; Hossam Badrawi, Head of the Central Department of Special Education affairs and Supervisor of the Central Department of Basic Education and Kindergarten; Jihan Abdel Salam, and CEO of the Takatof Association for Development; Miray Nessim.
During the ceremony, the governor praised the civil society organizations and NGOs for cooperating with state executive bodies to implement its ongoing development plans, pointing out that the Educational Buildings Authority supervised the school development project.
The governor added that inaugurating the new kindergarten classes is a response to the residents' desire to have kindergarten classes, given it is one of the significant phases of forming children's personalities.
The governor was accompanied by Deputy Cairo Governor Ibrahim Saber, Chief of Sharq Nasr City district Ahmad Anwar, and several officials of the Cairo governorate.
