Cairo Gov. inaugurates 4 outlets in Masarra, Tebin districts

7 February 2023

Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal inaugurated Monday four new “Ahlan Ramadan” outlets in the Masarra and Tebin neighborhoods as part of the 100 outlets planned to be implemented by the Cairo Governorate following the directives of political leadership to ensure the availability of strategic commodities with high-quality and lower prices than the market.

The new four outlets offer all kinds of food and strategic commodities such as rice, cooking oil, sugar, flour, meat, poultry, and fruits.

During the inauguration ceremony, Abdel Aal asserted that the state continues its effort to alleviate burdens on citizens, especially in light of the repercussions of the Russian-Ukrainian war.

Moreover, Abdel Aal talked to some citizens during the inauguration about their satisfaction with the prices of the commodities offered at the outlets.

For their part, citizens assured that the prices are 30% lower than those commodities in markets.

Abdel Aal also confirmed that the executive bodies of the Cairo governorate intensify inspection campaigns in all Cairo’s areas and neighborhoods to ensure the availability of sufficient food commodities at affordable prices and to control and monitor markets to prevent commercial fraud, manipulation, and monopoly. He also urged to take all necessary legal actions against violators and to make sure that merchants display clear legible price tags on each commodity.

Abdel Aal was accompanied by Deputy Cairo Governor Jihan Abdel Moneim, Director of Cairo’s Supply Directorate Abdel Naeem Hamed, and several officials of Cairo governorate.
