Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal attended Saturday the launching ceremony of the one-month "Talent Energy" Initiative the Cairo governorate launched in the Asmarat area and will reach all the newly built alternative housing projects, including the Khaila, Mahrousa, Ahalina, and Ma'an areas in cooperation with the Graduates Employment Authority and several NGOs.
Also in attendance were Deputy Cairo Governor Jihan Abdel Moneim and several officials of Cairo governorate.
During the ceremony, Abdel Aal said that eradicating informal and unsafe settlements across the capital posed a huge challenge which the state succeeded in overcoming under the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, presenting a unique example and distinguished experiment to the world in establishing modern integrated urban communities.
Moreover, Abdel Aal emphasized political leadership's keenness to provide the residents of those areas with decent living conditions and a healthy environment to build a generation physically and mentally strong and deepen their sense of belonging.
Abdel Aal added that the state sponsor and fully support the young talents in those alternative areas allowing them to showcase their talents and achieve advanced positions in many sports.
Abdel Aal further said that the initiative aims to showcase talents and support capabilities of innovative skills of women, children, and young people in the newly built alternative areas. It also aims to shed light on women's achievements to unleash their potential in all areas.
The initiative's activities will include several sports and matches for young teams with the participation of women and people with special needs.
Abdel Aal also asserted that political leadership attaches great importance to young talents and differently-abled women.
During the ceremony, Abdel Aal honored young talents who won various local championships and women who succeeded in starting their businesses after finishing their training.
