Local Development min., Cairo Gov. inspect several service projects

6 August 2023

Minister of Local Development Hesham Amna and Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal inspected Sunday the executive status of several ongoing service projects in some districts across the capital.

Minister Amna and Governor Abdel Aal were accompanied by Deputy Cairo Governor Jihan Abdel Moneim, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Local Development Osama Gad, and Chairman of Cairo’s Cleaning and Beautification Authority Ihab El-Shershaby.

During their tour, Amna reviewed with Abdel Aal efforts to upgrade some of Cairo’s squares in various districts and increase green spaces to add aesthetic appearance, especially in areas undergoing development currently.

Amna also followed up on the efforts of the executive bodies of Cairo’s municipalities to upgrade roads and squares across the capital, including pavements and curbstones, and restore order to streets.

Moreover, Amna followed up on the new waste management system in Cairo, especially the efforts of the private sector’s waste management and recycling companies responsible for collecting, recycling, and safe disposal of solid waste in Cairo’s east and west areas.

Amna further reviewed efforts of Cairo’s Cleaning and Beautification Authority in the north and south areas to improve the cleanliness level across Cairo, gain citizens’ satisfaction, and regain the capital’s aesthetic appearance in line with ongoing mega national development projects witnessed under President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

At the end of his tour, Amna and Abdel Aal reviewed the measures taken by the district’s chiefs to ease electricity consumption and campaigns to follow up on the shop’s commitment to closing times.
