Cairo Governor: Cairo's strategic commodities sufficient for six months

Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal assured that Cairo has enough strategic reserves of staple commodities sufficient for three months, adding that all of Cairo's bakeries are working in full swing.

 

There are sufficient medical supplies, infection control products, medicines, and disinfectants in all of the capital's hospitals, the governor said during a meeting of the board of governors chaired by the Prime Minister via video conference.

 

The governor added that Cairo Governorate's executive bodies have so far sterilized 19 thousand government buildings aside from demolishing more than 80 illegal buildings following President El-Sisi instructions to reclaim illegally acquired state's lands.

 

During the meeting, the governor announced that he, his four deputies, and the  Secretary-General, would donate 20 % of their salary to the Tahia Misr Fund for three months, stressing that this is the time to unite and come together to overcome the coronavirus crisis.
