Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber received a delegation from the Agricultural Bank of Egypt in his office at the Cairo Governorate headquarters. They discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the two parties, explore investment opportunities in Cairo, and review the bank’s financing programs that support the state’s efforts to achieve sustainable development.
During the meeting, the bank presented food commodity coupons to be distributed in cooperation with Cairo's Directorate of Social Solidarity to support the neediest families and beneficiaries of the Takaful and Karama initiative across Cairo. This effort is part of the bank's humanitarian initiative, "Seket Khair," which aligns with the social role of the Agricultural Bank of Egypt.
The initiative aims to distribute food commodity coupons to the most vulnerable families to help meet their basic needs for meat, ration supplies, and other food items. Eligible recipients holding these coupons can redeem them at Aman outlets, which are widely available. They can also use the coupons to purchase goods up to their monetary value. This initiative comes ahead of the Eid Al-Adha feast to ease the financial burdens on citizens and bring joy to the most vulnerable families.
The bank's delegation included Mohammad El-Sisi, CEO of Administrative and Engineering Affairs; Ahmed Maarak, Head of the Security Group; Magda Mounir, Head of the Greater Cairo Region; Noha Shawky, Head of the Foreign Relations Sector; and Mohammad Hafez, Director General of Media.
Governor Saber also praised the efforts of civil society organizations, NGOs, and banks in supporting the state's initiatives to achieve sustainable development by empowering the most vulnerable groups and assisting the state in providing social protection. He commended their work in helping these groups overcome rising living expenses and meet basic needs, all in coordination with the executive bodies.
