Head of the Hajj Mission: Beginning to prepare the lottery camps in Mina and Arafat

Major General/Assistant Minister of Interior for Administrative Affairs Sector and Head of the Executive Authority of the Ministerial Hajj Committee announced the start of preparing the lottery pilgrims' camps in the Holy Sites area in Arafat and Mina, after the Saudi authorities announced that the Arafat stand will be on Tuesday, May 26.

He confirmed in statements today, Tuesday, that Major General Mahmoud Tawfik, Minister of Interior, directed to raise the levels of preparations within the ranks of the Hajj lottery mission; to equip the pilgrims' camps in the Holy Sites area, and to ensure the provision of all services that enable the guests of God to perform the rituals with ease and comfort.

He explained that the lottery mission succeeded this year in obtaining a distinguished location for lottery pilgrims in Arafat, with a bus stop in the middle; To facilitate the process of pilgrims fleeing from Arafat to Muzdalifah, he pointed out that he assigned the officers of the lottery mission to begin preparing the camps in Arafat, and he conducted more than one inspection, accompanied by the mission leaders, to supervise the process of preparing the camps.

He added that the lottery mission succeeded, like last year, in obtaining the same distinguished location for the lottery pilgrims' camps in Arafat, near Namirah Mosque, with a bus stop in the middle for easy travel to Muzdalifah. He said that in implementation of the directives of the Minister of Interior and given the high temperatures this year, it was agreed to provide the pilgrims' camps in Arafat and Mina with a large quantity of fans, in addition to high-capacity air conditioning units Its capacity has been increased from 24 to 30 thousand units to meet the expected rise in temperatures during the Hajj rituals this year, in addition to the emphasis on the mission officials concerned with operating the air conditioners well before the arrival of the pilgrims.

He revealed that this year's Hajj lottery mission gave the pilgrims a backpack, for the pilgrims to use during their ascent to Arafat and Mina, to carry the dry meal that will be given to them by the mission to use for breakfast, as well as to carry their personal supplies.

He pointed out that for the first time, television screens were placed inside the courtyards of the pilgrims' camps in Arafat, in addition to the internal radio in the camps, to follow the Arafat jurisprudence sermon, and to make it easier for them instead of crowding to hear it in Namirah Mosque.

Regarding the preparations of the lottery mission in Mina, Major General/Assistant Minister of Interior for Administrative Affairs Sector and Head of the Executive Authority of the Ministerial Hajj Committee indicated that the lottery Hajj mission succeeded this year in reserving a distinguished location for the pilgrims' camp, near the Jamarat Bridge.

He added that the mission also contracted this year for air-conditioned German camps in Mina, to be completely covered with new carpets, and tents (sofa by hand), for the pilgrim to use as a bed or as a seat according to his need, in addition to establishing additional bathrooms, allocating a number of them for men, and another number for women, and separating them.

Major General/ Assistant Minister of Interior for Administrative Affairs Sector and Head of the Executive Authority of the Ministerial Hajj Committee, called on the pilgrims to adhere to their camps in Arafat, so that they do not lose their way from the camp, as well as to adhere to the area allocated for each pilgrim in Mina, as well as to adhere to the instructions of the officers and members of the mission, and the instructions of the Saudi authorities, all of which aim to facilitate the performance of rituals for the pilgrims of the Holy House of God and ensure their safety As well as committing to riding the buses designated for each group of pilgrims during the exodus and not getting off them, except after arriving at their camps in Mina.
