Governor of Cairo: “Art Street” initiative events will continue on a weekly basis

Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo, confirmed that the activities of the “Art Street” initiative in the Stock Exchange Triangle and Al-Sherifin Street—which were launched in the presence of Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister—will continue on a weekly basis every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo, noted that the initiative is part of the implementation of the joint cooperation protocol between the Cairo Governorate and the Academy of Arts at the Ministry of Culture, which was signed under the title: “Joint Artistic Cooperation within the ‘Bridges of Creativity’ Strategy to Make the Arts Accessible and Nurture Talent Across Cairo,” which includes the implementation of a number of specific initiatives, most notably the “Art Street” initiative, which aims to transform the capital’s streets into open platforms for creativity and the arts, alongside the “Music and Arts Kiosk” project to present musical and artistic performances in public parks and gardens, as well as the establishment of a specialized center for artistic and technical support and the preparation of young creators for the professional art market, thereby contributing to the discovery and nurturing of talent and transforming creative energies into a force that supports development and community awareness.
Dr. Ibrahim Saber added that the protocol stipulates that the Cairo Governorate will provide logistical, financial, and marketing support, secure event venues, and obtain the necessary permits, while the Academy of Arts will be responsible for artistic and academic supervision, preparing artistic programs and activities, and selecting participating artists and talents, ensuring the presentation of high-quality content that reflects Egyptian cultural identity and preserves national heritage.
