Today… Launch of the First Hajj Flights from Cairo Airport

Today marks the departure of the first Hajj flights of the season from the Seasonal Terminal at Cairo International Airport. Around 67,000 pilgrims are expected to be transported on EgyptAir flights. This includes approximately 25,000 pilgrims from the Ministry of Interior, 6,000 from the Ministry of Social Solidarity, in addition to tourism pilgrims, transit passengers, pilgrims from Palestine and Mali, and individual pilgrims.

All airport authorities have completed preparations for the Hajj travel season. EgyptAir has expedited travel procedures and held coordination meetings with the entities organizing the pilgrimage, including the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Social Solidarity, as well as service agents in Jeddah and Medina. These efforts aim to implement the “baggage-free traveler” service, which will be introduced for the first time departing from Jeddah.
