Cairo governorate's Central Operations Room received on Monday report of the collapse of building on Olwa Fares Street in Bab El-Shaaria district. The ambulance and Cairo's Civil Protection Authority rushed to the scene of the incident and announced that the entire building of 5 stories has collapsed, leaving one dead and one injured.
Cairo governor immediately decided to form an engineering committee to inspect the condition of the adjacent buildings stressing the necessity to remove the collapsed building's debris immediately after the public prosecution finishes examination of the scene.
The governor also directed the Directorate of Social Solidarity to provide emergency aid to those affected by the collapse.
