The Military Medical Academy has held a formal ceremony to confer academic degrees and honor a distinguished group of military and civilian physicians.
The step is in line with the Armed Forces’ ongoing commitment to developing highly-qualified medical professionals.
The event reflects sustained efforts to prepare and advance medical personnel to the highest scientific standards, while keeping pace with rapid developments across healthcare disciplines.
Degrees awarded included Master’s, Doctoral, and Egyptian Board qualifications to physicians enrolled at the academy. In his opening remarks, Director of the Military Medical Academy, Major-General Tariq Abdel Qader, outlined the institution’s role in delivering advanced medical training in accordance with the latest international standards
He highlighted the academy’s cooperation with leading scientific and medical institutions nationwide to enhance professional competencies.
Director of the Medical Services Department, Major-General Mohammad Saad Hegazy, emphasized the Armed Forces’ strategic focus on building a robust scientific base of specialized physicians.
He noted that this approach contributes to improving the quality of healthcare services within military medical facilities, while also supporting the civilian healthcare sector.
The honored physicians expressed their appreciation for the recognition, noting that such initiatives serve as a strong incentive to pursue further academic and professional excellence in service of the wider community.
Head of the Doctors’ Syndicate, Osama Abdel Hay, Chairman of the Senate Health Committee, Hisham El-Shishtawy, a number of Armed Forces commanders, and representatives from the ministries of health and population, and higher education and scientific research were present at the ceremony.
